What is the Board of Directors?

The Board of Directors is responsible for the management of the property and affairs of Pendleton Little League (PLL), including maintaining the Pendleton Little League Park grounds.   

The Board is  elected annually.  Subject to the rules and regulations of Little League International, the Board is solely responsible for maintaining each local league and meeting the needs of the community.  

Click here for more information about the Board of Directors and its Officers.  The following is a list of the officer positions and a brief description.  As each year depends the number and skills of those volunteering to be part of the PLL Board, some of these positions and their duties may be combined or modified:

  • PRESIDENT: Presides at PLL meetings and is fully responsible for operation of PLL.
  • VICE PRESIDENT: Presides in the absence of the President and caries out duties and assignments as may be delegated by the President.
  • SECRETARY: Maintains PLL records, including minutes for official meetings and sending out notices.
  • TREASURER: Responsible for PLL finances and maintains financial records.
  • PLAYER'S AGENT: Conducts annual tryouts and is in charge of player selection
  • SAFETY OFFICER:  Coordinates safety activities, including preparing the annual safety plan for submitting to Little League International.
  • FIELD MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR: Responsible for coordinating efforts to maintain the PLL Park and Grounds.
  • UMPIRE IN CHIEF:  Representative, recruiter, and trainer of PLL umpires.
  • LEAGUE INFORMATION OFFICER: Maintains league website and online registration.
  • COACHING COORDINATOR: Representative and trainer of PLL coaches.
  • SPONSOR FUNDRAISING MANAGER: Initiates and organizes fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
  • CONCESSION MANAGER: Maintains operation of concession facilities.
  • MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONSHIP MANAGER:  Coordinates efforts to inform community of PLL news and activities.
  • SCHEDULING COORDINATOR:  Schedules PLL games, practices, and activities in the PLL Park.
  • ALL STAR & ACCOLADE PROMOTER AND COORDINATOR:  Promotes and coordinates both accolades for players and teams during the season, as well as helping to promote and coordinate All Star player and coaches applications.
